SUSTAINABILITY OF THE TOURIST OFFER BASED ON HERITAGE OBJECTS IN THE CITY OF BUDVA
Abstract
Tourism, especially one related to summer tourist centers, is a well-known form of economic activity that increasingly contributes to the GDP of many countries. New times demand new forms of interest among tourists. Offers include rural tourism, spa and wellness, but also recreational and educational tourism. There are heritage buildings (fortresses) in Budva Municipality and its surroundings that can be included in supplementary offers. The current state of these buildings is very bad, so any intervention in them in the form of restoration would require large costs. As an adequate solution to this problem, tools that are increasingly used around the world these days can be used: virtual and augmented reality. Such offers contribute to the ecological sustainability of these areas. According to the results of the survey, conducted among visitors to Budva during July 2025, a large number of respondents planned during their vacation the excursions proposed in the current tourist offer and would gladly go on a tour of the fortifications if such an offer existed, while a small number of them know about the application of augmented and virtual reality in tourism.
